Credit-earning Options:
University Canada West accepts course credit from other BC and Canadian universities as well as from some courses and programs from community colleges.
Credit may also be available for courses and programs taken internationally. Students must achieve a passing grade at the institution from which the credit is to be transferred.
At the undergraduate level, a "C" standing or equivalent is required. At the graduate level, a "B" standing or equivalent is required.
Technical Requirements:
Students must have a minimum average of 65% to be considered for admission to first year at UCAN.
This average is calculated based on the British Columbia grade for English 12 (or equivalent) and the best three additional academic Grade 12 subjects. Students must also have scored 65% or better in Principles of Mathematics 11.
Students who do not have the minimum admission requirements, or are denied permission to register or re-register, but can prove extenuating circumstances, may ask to have the application reviewed. Requests for Review, outlining the extenuating circumstances, should be sent to the student's Admissions Representative.
Scholarships Offered:
Undergraduate and Degree-Completion Program students are eligible for scholarships ranging in value from $1,000 to $25,000. Students registered and attending a full-time Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Arts program at University Canada West are eligible for scholarship redemption. Full-time programs consist of a minimum 3 courses per term.
