Description
If you have a non-business undergraduate degree, this program will allow you to graduate with an MBA in two years. The program combines short residencies with online course work in a structured academic format. Students enrolled in this program will receive study materials a month in advance of the start of the program. This allows students to prepare for the upcoming course work load and gives an overview of what subject matter will be taught. Course work will be delivered online at eight-week intervals and in the second year of the program, students will complete a year-long Consulting Assignment. Applicants to the two-year program are expected to have work experience.
Team Based Leadership
In this course, you will learn about the various ways that teams can be used in management. Course material will touch upon coaching, as well as team project models. You will study team dynamics and styles, and will learn how to use them appropriately. The class will offer feedback about your personal goals and managerial skills. The course will also help you build and maintain an effective Learning Team. This leadership course is worth 1.5 credits towards your MBA.

Development of marketing skills that will help students implement a marketing strategy for an organization. Course topics include marketing research, consumer behavior, branding, positioning, segmentation, distribution, and innovation in a marketing environment. Students will learn to analyze changes in the marketplace that affect an organization’s goals and strategic plan.
Strategic Leadership
Research Methodology
This course examines business-appropriate research methods. Areas of concentration include the elements of a good research topic, data collection methods, primary vs. secondary data and research ethics. Students will learn to critically review business literature and write and present results. At the end of this course, students should be able to pick a topic for study and prepare and submit a UCAN Research Ethics Proposal that is to be submitted within one month of completion of the course. The proposal is in preparation for the CDRS 410/411 Directed Research Project. This research course is worth 3 credits towards your bachelor degree.

This course is designed to help you to develop relationship skills with internal and external clients. You will learn about contracts, requests for proposals, client attachment, role expectations, intervention models, process consultation and organizational learning. This is a foundation course for your required consulting assignment. This consulting course is worth 3 credits towards your MBA.

An introduction to financial markets, profitability, risk management, time value, asset management, and the role and expectations of shareholders. Operations management seeks to implement and monitor processes of quality assurance while maintaining efficient and effective business operations. An overview of the complex process of production and operations management including the use of computer management technology, decision support programs, and statistical methods of measuring operations.

Examine traditional entrepreneurship and newer forms of enterprise. Study the practice of starting new business ventures and the revitalization of existing organizations. Learn practical entrepreneurship techniques in the areas of developing business plans, seeking financial support, understanding economic and cultural impacts, and the management of small business concepts and support systems. Private and public sector businesses are examined.

Leadership is a critical element in the success of any company. However, the significance of this role varies in organizations that have a presence in more than one country.
