With the Vancouver Career College Spa Therapy program under your belt, you’ll be prepared to deliver holistic therapies at beautiful and exotic locations all over the world. During this 42-week program, students will become well-rounded spa technicians as they explore Eastern and Western philosophies.
All curriculum meets the requirements of Spa Therapists in North America. The program teaches nutrition, anatomy, pathology and physiology. Massage courses include prenatal/infant, deep tissue, Chinese and Swedish techniques. Students will also study reflexology, acupressure, stone treatments and hydrotherapy. Dry spa room techniques, such as herbal wraps, salt scrubs, glows and facial massage are also part of course study.
After a five-week work placement, graduates will be ready to embark on a new and exciting career. In addition to working in health spas and medical clinics, there is a demand for spa therapists in exotic and fun locations, such as cruise ships, destination resorts, and hotels.
